Of course. If you don't feel turned on by your own drawing its either not doing its job as a pervy drawing or you must've seen a shit tonne of those kind of drawings to know that its nothing new. As stupid as it sounds, I use my nether rod as a detector for successful poses and angles during sketch phase. If it goes up, it probably works. And as I zoom into the lineart drawing and the usual technical chores of coloring, I usually end up get super serious about getting it right, making myself not really that distracted. Sometimes I from the reflection of my face in the monitor I see expression contorted into one of a serious concentrating sculptor, which is quite hilarious considering I'm drawing ladies being shagged by eye-less and strangely muscular men.

desu, most chastity devices are easy to cheat for most dudes, and 99% are POSSIBLE to get off without a key if you're desperate. It gets more complicated if you get a genital piercing for the specific purpose of making it more secure, but most of them are still constructed from cheap enough material that you could get most of the thing off you without a key. The only exceptions are custom-made and unbelievably expensive.

Really, the problem with losing the key is the annoyance of having to pry it off some other way, and the problem of replacing the key. Basically all devices come with at least two keys too, so you can put one in a lockbox or something just in case.

Personally, I don't have much experience drawing lewds, but I did write porn once upon a time. It is better to be kinda horny when you start off, but the editing process needs to be as tedious and unerotic as writing anything else, or you get crap out the other end.

Drawing while horny is really hard for me, I can't focus. I just make sure to write any crazed horny ideas down before doing it.
Also, you guys ever get conflicting opinions on lewds?
