the lines on the face are way to dark. pick and choose details, don't cram them all in. brow on the right is 2d. hair is tubes, paint with value not lines. nose isnt attached right, draw skulls. some shading is off, draw skulls. idk how to paint btw

i call this "digital naive painting". why?

it is extremely basic and entry-level-tier. you take a photo - internet, private snapshot - and copy it with grid, projection or other basic technology. due to poor technical base and skills, there are typical beginners flaws:

blank canvas shining through, because the canvas wasn't primed in any color (no glaze, no layering); smugdy, muddy color mixing; broad, thoughless brush strokes that merely trace the photo contours; complete lack of compositional conceptuation (either in dead center, cut-off on the edges, vague or non-existent focus in the painting …)

background: here is the naive aspect at its most obvious. everything is naively improvised. where a Casper David Friedrich has excelled in going back to his studio from trips and has managed to recreate impressions of nature with a very distinct precision and mix of fantasy and memory, people like Illastrat are basically the complete opposite. Here we have a tree with red leaves. Some of the leaves are a little lighter on the edges and he's just throwing in some snake-like black lines, because somewhere in there, you would need to find branches. All that is done in a kindergarten style, so naive, it hurts to look at. Further in the background, we find mountains or pyramids. I would go with the pyramids, as Illastrat - either a whigger posing as a niggra, or really a niggra, we will never know - aludes to "we wuz kengs!" out of lack of skill to actually paint mountains.
so basically, the background is always just a "coloring in" with no aspiration of doing anything for the lazily copied photo portrait. in a sense like, as not to leave the white of the canvas completely untouched.

more beginners crap: putting unmixed yellow paint on black point. using pure black for outlines anyway … cringe. shudder!

fun aspects: notice the twisted neck, much like Chunbuns badly painted asian communist realism nudes. i think these two could become great friends.
