Not those anons you're replying to but I also have a diagnosis.
To summerize it, I ended up with it because I was a NEET, it helped me understand things about myself and things that happened in the past and the diagnosis helped me get my life back on track as it opened doors and made it easier to get help.

I could probably learn a lot from the internet but sometimes it helps when you have a qualified person taking an objective look at you.

I don't recommend it if you don't really struggle with anything in life.

I got tested along with an IQ test when I was like 8 years old because I was a weird kid basically; higher than average intelligence for my age, lack of social skills/empathy, odd habits and obsessions, etc etc.
I don't know when, but at some point I realized that I was different and that people looked at/treated me differently, and I didn't like that, so I adapted. I basically overcame it entirely; we could be close real life friends for years and you'd have no idea unless I told you.

The pain in being ">skipped" is that you are somehow so shit at drawing that people aren't impressed but not shit enough to get memed and don't get any attention which makes you feel worthless and disconnected from the community.

If you were to post your name to get unskipped, it would feel fake and create a false impression of ones abilities.

For me, being skipped is a good way to tell if what I'm drawing is interesting at all, I don't like it but it's a good way to tell if your work catches anyones attention.

What kind of exercice are you doing? Like, is it from ref or a book? Try to do an asaro head, with thicker strokes for closer parts and thiner strokes for further parts (it will also help you manage your pen pressure). You can even do a second one with value. I'm proposing asaro head because i think you miss some important construction lines, which you will find and memorise by doing this study.

Falling horizontally can mean you stay the same? or you move forward? or you fly? or nothing? Eat the cookie, throw the paper.

No sarcasm, just higher resolution. I said that because when i did the redraw my basic brush was a third of your canvas. Thinking again about it you are right, a small canvas help you to draw with a bigger brush easily wich is more interesting when you do this kind of shapes. Hope it make sense, if not check that :

I hate these tests. These are so stupid, I swear. They ask you vague questions and expect you to get it right with just the 4 options of answers they present.
>1. I prefer to do things with others rather than on my own.
What thing? Eating? Watching anime? Playing vidya? taking a bath? Isn't it "it depends on what activity it is"?
>2. I prefer to do things the same way over and over again.
Again, what thing? Playing music? Practicing necessary exercises to get good? Again, isn't it "it depends"?
>3. If I try to imagine something, I find it very easy to create a picture in my mind.
What something? Like math? A picture of a person? Details?

Every single activity you mentioned I prefer to do alone. And I have a hard time thinking up an activity that I would gladly do with other people.
Just check "slightly disagree".
>>2. I prefer to do things the same way over and over again.
How much do you like routine, generally speaking? If very, then check "agree", if not much and you're doing things the same way only when you have to, then check "disagree".
>>3. If I try to imagine something, I find it very easy to create a picture in my mind.
>What something? Like math? A picture of a person? Details?
Yes, any of that. Do you have trouble with imagining a picture of a function on a graph? Or a faces of your family? If you have no problem with those things, then you probably can easily imagine other things as well and you should check "agree".

>This is such crap and then they give you scores that "lol you are autistic"
It's just a test. It's not perfect and it's not a great substitute for a real test where a trained professional can explain your concerns. But it doesn't mean that it gives very inaccurate scores.

>then people on the internet eat it up because now they can be special snowflakes.

I joined /las/ few times in the past and every time I dropped out in 4-6 days. Now I'm on day 18.

I think the biggest differences are tokens and effort required.
In las you had to put in at least an hour of work. When I had to choose between going to bed already or sleeping an hour less to just draw, it seemed like a lot of time. Now I have to put in only a half of an hour - it's just more manageable. If I try I can do it in the morning before work. But it would be really hard to get up an whole hour early to draw.
And in las you had tokens. Instead of drawing I would say "oh, what the hell, I have an token! I can take a break from drawing!"... and that made forming a habit much harder.

I don't think the point is to actually learn when doing this challenge, daddies.

It's more of an endurance thing, and going after the idea of trying to do something frazetta supposedly did.

That said after a couple of hours you'd probably go into auto-pilot mode, but I think that still helps you in some way. rote memorization is essential to any skill in the long term, and even if you're just mindlessly copying you're still putting marks to paper which is mileage.

it's also something you'd do maybe once and never again, just to say you did it. who knows just an idea.

The value of this challenge is not about anatomy but is about endurance. Within a few pages people will have stopped thinking about anatomy and will only be drawing mindless copies of lines, they won't learn anything.

If you want an anatomy challenge that will actually result in anatomy gains do this
>Set the challenge to be about a month long with daily posting

The challenge is meant for one day. It's a pretty easy task, mentally, because you don't have to think about what you're drawing after a while.
Worst case scenario, you "lost" a day by not going full gains, because that's totally what you would have done otherwise :^)

I'd be interested in trying the challenge but I think if it's gonna be a more "organised" event (as opposed to you just deciding to do it right now), it would make more sense to split it into either two 12 hour or three 8 hour chunks and host it over the weekend so workanons can participate.
You could of course also split it into 12 chunks of 2 hours or even smaller but I think that would defeat the purpose of the challenge.

>Draw a box challenge

Okay, could someone tell me the bs level of this challenge? I don't know that much about Draw a box. Is this easily doable in month? Or do i have to shit like thousand shitty cubes a day.

The challenge is actually really easy because it's intended for absolutely beginners.

It's only overkill if you set your standards too high. As long as you get it done even if crudely and it took at least 30 minutes, there's no problem what so ever. There's only seven lessons.

It's the same bs as Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain. If you don't take the principles to heart and remember them and do them correctly, then you're not going to take much away from it. Constantly trying to do perfect cubes is the meme because of the title. If it were called Dynamic Sketching, you wouldn't be drawing boxes all day. It's a heavy construction and perspective challenge.

I pressed submit and it was taking a while to load and I had to leave, so I left and assumed it had submitted. I just checked and the filesize had been a tad too big to go through.

But maybe I need to remember that it's not just about the streak counter. I'm still happy because I drew today, and I learned from the act of drawing, and that's what matters! ...R-right?
