Oh, right, 'Andrew Loomis: Successful Drawing' helped me a lot about understanding perspective. I read a lot of other art books too, but mostly just skimmed through them. Successful Drawing was the only one I really followed while doing studies.

Nice, I've always wondered if just being around people who speak a language for a while is enough to pick it up. I took spanish all throughout school and I got pretty much fluent with it. Back when I worked retail shit it helped so much but now that I don't anymore I don't use it much and I guess it's fading.
Plus real talk I'm a little bitch when it comes to using it casually here. French people, Japanese people, whatever, they like hearing people trying to speak their language and they'll egg you on even. But the local Mexican people will give you the most 'ain't nobody got time for that shit' look in the fucking world. I just back down and switch back to English every time. I'm thinking about getting into Duolinguo or whatever it's called to brush up though.
