Much as I hate the tumblr shit yes overweight people can be bulimic/anorexic in a few different cases I've seen. Usually person manages to not purge/starve themselves for long enough to put on weight. Most people with eating disorders don't know how to eat appropriate amounts, bulimics often just stop purging but continue to binge. 'All that is good and noble' in Christian civilization has roots in Tradition, which is what absorbed the truths (what St. Augustine called Semina Verbi) from several non-Christian cultures, many of them in and outside of Europe, inside a Christian frame.
