ignore the "hurr you cant do it from imagination" ploy. using references is always good and utilizing the technique of collage in conjunction with references adds to heighten your work. this is just one method but it's effective.

Using automatic creation and creative meditation to get new ideas and forms is useful but we all gain inspiration from different sources.

I don't believe this person is 15 years. But this is possible, it is most likely referenced.
If you've done art for at least a few years you can do this, if you've studied the right things at least... I'm not sure if I want to do anything like it since it feels like a waste of time.. But something like this just takes a few months time.. It's doable, just not what I would want to do ever...
If you want to do anything like it, the easiest way would be: Sketch the thing from imagination, make it correct, anatomically, proportions etc.. Use reference for the lighting! Just something similar, use refs for every part of the painting and for materials, work on it untill that level.
