Lets be honest. Money is a valuable factor in life, and doctors, dentists, etc... undoubtedly earn the highest, and are without a doubt considered "high up" in the societal ladder. Art on the other hand, takes a long time to get good, and even then you will never be able to get respect and the same earnings as that of a doctor. I don't fucking care how good you say you are, it just isn't possible. All you guys that are ranting at OP are probably butthurt fags in your moms basement trying to get good at something that you never will be good at. Drawings can be both utilitarian and entertaining, it depends at what field it is used, even doctors are using medical illustrations in their manuals made by artists for many years, the same with firefighters training manuals, so it's not meaningless as long there is a demand for it.

Having a good time with a friend, beating a hard level in a videogame, earning a bigger bonus this year for your work, giving a hot chocolate to a homeless person on the street- none of these would qualify as worth doing to you?
