This is where skill comes to play anon. No, you do not need to draw everything in a square and rectangle if you draw maximum pixel perfect and accurate 3D humans. You are not a 3D engine and you are not suppose to be either.

You need to be able to approximate the body's part in perspective in a believable way. You need to know approximately how they change from different viewpoints.and use your mind to portray it in a believeable way. You do not need to measure everything you can eyeball it after enough practice, the basic plains however need to be in place for which the basic measurements will help you, once you get that down filling in the rest becomes easier.

Perspective is about "how" you see the world and everything in it, not "what" you see. Perspective helps you to make your works more lively and varied. Perspective is a tough but very rewarding thing to know because it can be applied in countless ways to enhance the image. Unless you wish to draw only the same setting with the same eye level every single time.
