I don't do line of action i usually choose an area and begin drawing. usually the chest or a shoulder. sometimes from the hips. I didn't use ref. besides for the outfit of shimakaze.

how do i go about finding ref. that's usually the hard part for me. like i'll come up with a random pose and draw and know it's not right or looks good but can't find ref to fix the parts i need. Also when i just get a ref and draw from it. it will turn out looking stiffer than usual. I guess I just need to keep studying from ref? I really don't get how tho.

I used to do gesture drawings. I'll be honest i don't understand most of what you said. I just draw from imagination. the most construction i do is like a little upside down u for the chest and a weird bean for the hips. I'll keep rereading what you said to hopefully make sense of it all. thank you for the input. Also how do i go about finding ref for a post i imagine? do i just look for parts that seem right like maybe a arm holding up her weight and use that as ref for that part and just keep looking for bits and pieces of the whole image?
