>consistent schedule or good work ethic so people know they'll keep seeing new stuff from you
>Big one being consistency, have a schedule so people know when you will post. Be it everyday, every other day or every Friday; Just be consistent. Don't art dump and disappear.

Where does this conventional wisdom come from? It makes intuitive sense, and it probably can't hurt, but it kinda feels like people are just repeating it after a while. Is it based on your personal experiences? I can think of several Twitter artists who don't post regularly who have pretty high follower accounts because their stuff is just good quality (not easy to churn out daily or weekly) and/or their style is unique. Maybe it's different on Instagram or whatever though.
