I'd like to think pointing things out like this isn't unprofessional, because sometimes yeah there are problems like this and it shouldn't be "shut up or be boxed out."

If I had to wager on it, I'd say the guys in the promo shot are just the guys most prominent in the docu - most of the other artists featured in the trailer were interviewed at a con it looked like.

As long as the docu itself fairly represents to women in it, I don't really care about the promo shot. The actual content is more important.

Well sometimes there is a good point there, and sometimes it's just a slow news day and some producer is looking to stir up some shit.

Like, stuff like Earthsea getting whitewashed when SciFi turned it into a miniseries? One of the big things about Earthsea was that LeGuin wanted to get away from the traditional white-skinned blonde-eyed sword-wielding protags, and they completely fucked it up.
