Why make the connection with the character at all in the first place? Why not just make a generic bit titty maid with pink hair?

This may be a really dumb question, but how am I supposed to apply this Drawabox stuff to figure drawing? The only thing I can think of is drawing things at weird angles and I still have a hard time relating shapes in 3D space to other shapes. >>4165969 as seen in the drawing on the bottom left here.

Like, I've drawn enough boxes and sort of get the whole "have the parallel lines meet up at the same vanishing points" thing, are you just supposed to keep doing this until you can do it naturally? What am I supposed to be getting out of this right now?
