My very first plein air exercise.

There's clearly plenty of room for improvement, but it was a valuable effort. I learned a bit about morning shadows. I learned a lot more from what I did wrong/didn't do, though. I failed to bring paper towels with me, so I couldn't do the stucco texture through a technique I was comfortable with. I failed to push myself and do something a bit more challenging (something where I would have to face a perspective problem). It also comes across as crowded, so I'll start smaller next time to pick up more information about the placement of the bushes and grasses, as well as the shadows.

I would usually call this a total bust, but because it was my first time, I'd rather take my lessons in stride.
