information overload. when you are copying bridgman then torso is like 5 lines. when you see photo of real person torso is this infinite number of shades, planes and weirdly shaped bones and fat where nothing makes sense. basically copying from photo is like trying to do homework while copying someones else art is like copying the finished homework from a friend
