I see being a porn artist like a trap, there is a lot of easy money to be made and it looks like it constrains a lot of genuine talent into making just jerk-off nothingness content. Its like a professional chef flipping burgers at McDonald's. Hampering an artists skills and abilities by locking them into and rewarding them for being pigeon holed.

>But X artist drew porn and look at them now!!!
This is an insanely ignorant loaded statement that misunderstands some key things about art. It is important to acknowledge a distinction between erotic art and pornography. an example, a "tasteful" nude of a woman that respects the natural beauty of form versus an up close shot of the engorged anus of a fox demon being impregnated by tentacles. The artistic value of either of these is always debatable but the subsequent reaction from your future employers is most likely not going to be.
This isn't an argument about what should be but rather what is, and it is that most peoples perception of you is going to be damaged with a reputation of drawing porn. Imagine working at McDonald's all your life and then applying too work at an elite five star restaurant and all your competition has been building up an arsenal of skills of and wide expertise while you just have been making McDoubles. Its not that your bad its just that you've spent ten years making shit for obese boomers to gobble on their lunch breaks, likewise commissioned porn is just shit for loser neckbeards to make cummies to.
