It really depends. Generally, more intelligent ones can have normal or outstanding achievements, but even autistic people with more significant care needs can become fixated on processes that lead to what's socially recognized as technical mastery, e.g., copying photographs. What becomes more recognizably distinctive is when art becomes a means of accessing some other fixation, like Chris Chan or Sami Ways. There's no motive for improving the technical qualities of the art according to an outside reality, their only criteria for value is that it stimulates some fantasy for them. The result is that once the appropriate symbol drawing for pretty blonde lady or sonichu or whatever appears on the page, coherent enough to activate their fixation, the drawing becomes "good" and there's no reason to proceed any further. They also may not understand why other people would judge their art according to other merits, since for them anything that trips their trigger is roughly as good as any other thing. That's partially why you see so much shitty cartoon porn - it doesn't really need to be technically masterful to serve its function, so why would you put in the effort?
