/ic/ - Artwork/Critique

Thoughts on FireAlpaca?
I use it and think it's pretty good, especially for /begs./ They've recently added stuff like perspective tools and simple Onion Skin mode for animation.
But will using such a simple program affect my digital art gains? Should I try to get used to a more complex freeware, like Krita or Gimp, that offer an increased amount of tools and ways to edit your work? (Not really interested in pirating.)
