Then study black women, the ideal black woman and the more "homely" black woman. If it's anime, see what can be appealing when you combine that eastern look with african features. Is it cartoony? Then what works with shapes? You could think about dynamics or even look up what other successful cartoonists have done with black people. Also, color schemes man. Brown goes good with very brighter colors or darker colors, based on contrast but no moderate colors. Think complementary colors that can work with shades of brown to pure black
