I have no idea how im supposed to add highlights to hair. When i look at other artists, I see V-shape highlight patterns that are done with a brush, or something. when i try and do the same thing it just looks messy and horrible.

Also looking for general critiques for this, specifically in terms of the colouring and shading. thank you.
