>plenty of tips and info. only focuses on the jokes.
maybe it came off as serious, but it wasn't.

yeah, i assume you read the rest of the tips and all.
if you happen to apply anything from the thread and show feedback that would be nice.

I really like seeing them put the structure behind the subject they are drawing. Understanding this will help tenfold in the future and its nice to see. However,
something about their work says they're doing them because they have too more than they want to which is understandable when it comes to studies. Some of the work looks like they get bored in the midst of drawing and move on before realizing the drawing fully.

Maybe they could draw stuff for fun along side studies. Right now if feels like they're learning the tools of the trade, but not making anything with them. Its just as important to learn how to apply studies to your goals as it is to learn the methods themselves.

I'm sure that perspective work really gave you a headache, but you're much more capable coming out of it. Keep it up, Bris, what you're doing is promising.

Policing drawings of "underaged" characters is so fucking stupid. Your argument holds no water if someone can shut it down by drawing some "adult" stick figures fucking then changing your mind and calling one a 10 year old. Why do these chucklefucks think lines have rights?

The drawings are nice, but the animation is lacking. I really like that you went and animated the muscles flexing thought out the motion and the hair flip is a great indication of character, like she wants to stay looking good. However, heavy underling issues are severely harming the piece, the two biggest issues for me being the slippery, ungrounded figure and the inconstant volumes of the limbs.

The character not having clear established ground is making the action lose weight. Even if your character's feet aren't being shown in a shot, its very important to clearly indicate they are planted on the ground to show the masses in play have and are creating force. The volumes of your character are inconstant, even though they are flexing, it wouldn't account for the level of growth. Its contributing, in a lesser way, to the loss of weight and more so to the jitteryness of the animation; If it were inbetweened in this state, it would likely turn out really gooey too.

You've illustrated first and animated second, which doesn't serve either in the end. There are underlying issues present really should have been addressed far before you got to this state. Unfortunately, because you've take it so far before you solved the story of your action, making the necessary changes would mean losing a lot of the work you've already put in. I have good feeling you're going to fight against this piece trying to get it in order while mitigating loss.

You have a really great sense of volume and form, I really love the rotation you've done in the calf on her left leg and it almost looks like a camera rotation, but you're doing a disservice to your skill making the drawing look good before making them work. If I may, I suggest brushing up on a proven workflow before making leaps and creating shorthands for yourself. If you would like to do so, pages 61 to 68 in "The Animator's Survival Kit" is a good refresher, but there are many workflows out there.

Good luck, Anon.
