You explained better than I ever could. He doesn't filter, he just vomits art on the page without rhyme or reason. It works in a way, but after a while it starts to get boring. I kinda understand why he does that. I have to force myself to study things like clothes or furniture, otherwise, I would just draw girls doing the same pose forever. I wonder if an artist like KJG gets bored of studying after a while and just gives up trying to chase that mastery that never arrives.

Simon Bisley is an example of what complacency does to a guys art. His old stuff was legendary. Every painting he did was full of passion and agression. But now it appears he gave up. So much mediocre stuff. He stopped doing those crazy details, his art got flat and boring. Losing your mojo is a fate worse than death.

Lol. The fans asked that he lick their boots and he complied? What a dolt. It's like a prostitute whoring herself out to a man that went an entire month without shower. An artist must have at least a bit of self-respect. The only thing this proves to those "fans" is that they have power over the guy. I wonder if he knows how humiliating this is.

If you use a water spray bottle and regularly spray your palette, you paints will stay wet the entire day. If you use a stay wet palette, you can work as slowly as you like.
