How do I get this good, bros? Any recommendations for books or other artists to check out? My problem is my need for references, can't get much done without using them 1:1. Pic related is my art.

This is my art. I've been drawing for 14 years but I never learned the fundamentals, took classes, etc. I can only really draw from reference and I want to stop relying on them verbatim. Do I start from the absolute beginning or can anyone point me in a good direction? I also wouldn't mind getting into digital art because I don't think I've ever colored anything I've drawn but would love to learn.

Finished this yesterday morning. I'm not too happy about it though because I really just stuck 2 references together. I've been drawing since I was a child and that's been my problem since. I can only draw from references and never learned the fundamentals. Where do I start /ic/?
