I wanna cry pls help me. What did that artist do that I'm not doing? I've been almost 2 hours doing this face trying to copy his technique but my painting still looks like I'm using the MS Paint brushes in some parts and I can't do finer details like the eyelashes without them looking like crap.
Also his skin looks really textured, in fact the whole drawing looks textured and "spotty" while mine is plain. I'm focusing on the eyes since it should be easy but I'm still a long way from that guy...

What is he doing dammit how does one paint like that. Any special brushes? I'm sure it's special brushes.
I'm using a flat square brush and a gouche one on Clipstudiopaint.
