I'm wondering what I should do to improve.

This took me about 45 mins to do. I'm not trying to get better at capturing and building up images from construction so I can do it without relying on reference.

I built the image up from basic shapes, trying to get the pose and proportions correct and lazily added in the features and some clothes at the end.
