Eyeballs are pretty simple, you just need to get the proportions of the iris and pupil right. The eyelids are the hard part. I don't know of any specific books, but I've seen tutorials that drill down into online. What make it click for me is that the eyeball controls the shape of the eyelid, the lid wraps around the ball - and that most beginners don't give depth to the lid, they draw the lash right at the edge of the lid, and don't have the actual thickness of the lid behind it.
