not an expert, but my observation is you've put too much contrast on the side of the skull that's not facing the camera, and that is throwing things off the most

but more generally, your values have too much contrast

there's a valley running through the eyebrow ridges that flows down to the nose. the way you've shaded it, you can't tell it exists. your intuition to make that side darker is not entirely wrong, but it does not match the lighting in the reference and it does not give us the valley we want.

line art, very generally speaking, should be on boundaries where the form dramatically changes. and there's not enough change to warrant the line. you might say, "oh, i was drawing the seam, to show texture" and to that i would say your line needs to be lighter and thinner.

it's very difficult to get those gradients/values right, but it can be done with a lot of pushing and pulling on things

i painted over the left side of your drawing to demonstrate how things might be improved
