Thanks for the feedback man. I know what you're saying when you're talking about "Chinese over rendered crap" but I don't really agree with you on what you said about Joblinski's work but maybe I'm just a bit of a fanboy. Most of his stuff is pretty subdued and he's not Chinese. But yeah. Rapoza's much more up my alley and I fucking need to stop looking at other peoples shit anyway.

I did two quick paintovers on your work because I really love what you've done so far. I hope you don't mind. The first one is the "quick and dirty way" of making shit look good in a forest and I'd probably just go with it. Have light coming through leaves and shit so you can get that fun scattery light all over her. You can literally choose where you want the light to hit because "Well you know the leaves in the trees were like that". It really gives you a lot of control!

Image II is just the same thing without the scattering. I think I added too much contrast and saturation but it still illustrates some of the problems I see in your work. Have more saturation and contrast on the area you think is the most important in your work. Edge control is important. Flatten your image and tighten the edges in the areas where you want people to look and blend em in areas where you don't want them to look (oversimplification but still). Another thing I took issue with were her hands. I don't know if it's just because your image is unfinished but they're both really unnarturally still which is definitely a problem since they're in your focal-area. Hope this helped!
