Yeah like I think in a dialogue. I need things to respond to like build an argument about it.

Like time is entropy. Entropy is waste. All art is waste. Internet memes are super waste. It's all garbage and none of it matters. The point is to use this as a roundabout way to motivate yourself to just make stuff without giving a shit.

And then with How to Wabi Sabi, that ties right into it. The whole "time is a flat circle" thing is super reflective of eastern and buddhist philosophy. Their entire appreciation of the world is much more about reflecting on the passage of time, the impermanence of things, the imperfection of nature, and all this stuff that is directly connected to all the entropy and time and waste memes.

Like the function of the episode, and most episodes, is to kind of define and explain these concepts, and then kind of subvert or misinterpret them in silly ways to kind of goof with the concept in ways that may still reflect it. Leaving paintings unfinished in jarring ways, following impulses as they arise and building over the mistakes like those clay pots that you break and repair and stuff. Bunch of things I do and have done as a wabi sabi related goof.

I can draw portraits to near perfect proportions as it is. Been good at that since I was 15. You use grids to ensure you have everything blocked exactly as you want it in the frame.

I've been having these exact conversations since May of 2016. The idea of doing canvas transfers for the first year/until the printer ran out of ink, had been thought up in like September 2016.

essentially all painters use grids. And normies don't give a shit. The people that really get triggered by this shit are /beg/ dorks. Not to mention that the paintings were also done with the cheapest brushes on the cheapest canvasses with the cheapest paint too. Them being shitty cheap meme painting jokes with no value that I then have to sell through a series of weird infomercials has been the idea, and then the bit for years now. I'm just bojangling on the whole video series part.

It doesn't really. They're just free subjects, plus the overwhelming majority of them are reaction images that were either solicited or stolen from anons on /tv/. I'm pretty much always more interested in the underlying meme or concept or whatever. Plus celebrities are generally pretty attractive and well-put-together and in ideal production environments, which is nice, particularly for me to turn into ugly half-finished paintings about them. And enjoy the subversiveness of when they're demonstrating their anxiety or being goofy or demonstrating their humanity or whatever.

Sure. Why not paint reaction images? Why not make exact proportioned paintings of copyrighted images that I don't own?

Ultimately muh goal is to use the paintings "to bring into the world" personal and social context and potentially new or novel ideas about humanity and existence and stuff that may help others as we barrel into the internet revolution and a new stage of human existence that we are fundamentally unprepared for.

And then from a personal philosophical perspective, it's proof that I existed! Production is the meaning of life. It's the Sisyphean struggle against entropy.
