I’m only “trolling” in the sense that I’m being as genuine as can be, even if the world hated me for it. And how is my “mentality” indicative of anything? I rarely upload shit anywhere, I mostly just do it for my own enjoyment, but how is wanting to be the best any less of a valid reason, hmm? I know it must be really hard for (you), all this is really hard for (you), knowing there are people in the world that aren’t as weak willed and pretentious. Is it any less pretentious to want to get better at art for the sake of being amazing than it is to “express” yourself? How are MY reasons any less valid than YOURS? Aren’t all artists just pretentious pricks at the end of the day? And I do enjoy drawing for that matter, it’s just not enough for me to stay mediocre. Just like with how I went in, day after day to lift hundreds of pounds off the floor for painstakingly slow growth that adds up in the end, I’ll keep scribbling away till anatomy and color and everything else all become second nature. You called me a “loser” but I’m only a “loser” once I quit and give up (though it’s not my fault that my life’s circumstances were forced on me, so it’s not my fault if I fail, I’m just doing the best I can). I don’t need other people to care about me if I fail, because I already know just how selfish and shitty everyone else is, and the lack of concern and empathy goes both ways. And I’ll only say this once, but talent DOES exist in the sense that there’ll always be people like me who are better than (you).

What the title says. I have realized that when it comes to do art, most people do the art they "consume". So people who like anime, draw anime. Others who enjoy reading novels, do art about the novel they are reading. Coomers do coomer art and so on and so forth. But what do you do when you don't consume art? I mean, when most thing you read are non-fiction stuff and when you don't watch movies nor watch anime? I don't even have a favorite artist, if you ask me I couldn't respond. I think all my life I have been eternally doing doodles and studies.

Is there an answer to this? Or maybe I'm souless and despite all the memes, souless people can't into art?
