Great start. There’s a lot to convey in that image. The first guy is right. It needs way more definition. Try doing a two tone study if it’s not clicking. As far as colors go, add some more warm tones to highlight the form. Play with reds and oranges. Then just more detail once you have that. If this is oil paint I would just treat this like an under painting and work right on top of what you already have.
