That's the worst part of /beg/.
Essentially you never get an answer unless you are so fucking terrible it's easy to make fun of you or take pity on you.
When asking for opinions or tips barely anyone responds.

I don't really blame the people here, I think they main reason for this is that the thread for beginners contains mostly beginners so you don't really have as many people that know their shit or are willing to write a post about it to answer people's questions.

Obviously I'm not talking about every post, but most posts containing mediocre art barely get any answers to their questions.
