Hey anons, could really use some advice right now.
I've been happily using my Cintiq 13HD up to now (which I know is ancient by this point) but it's finally looking like that dumb design flawed port might be broken.
I don't mind shelling out some money for a good tablet. Actually previously I was looking at buying an ipad pro and was going to in a month or so, but I still need a proper tablet as I need access to specific animation software (hopefully this might change in the coming years, but I digress).

I'm a little lost as to current tablets as it's been a long time since I've bought one. I was researching the current cintiq lineup last night and I feel rather underwhelmed? The closest thing to a replacement for my 13HD seems to be a 16 but I really hate the lack of physical buttons and I've heard bad things about it's color gambit.

What are the decent, popular mid range tablets that people like nowadays? I am open to other brands but I have 0 experience with them so I'm unsure of their quality (also not crazy on having a rechargable pen). If going with other brands I would really like to have physical buttons as well.
Would I be insane just buying a 13HD again for cheap or trying to somehow fix the port on my own one and invest in an expensive tablet in a few months instead?

Any advice appreciated, thank you in advance.

What are good alternatives to Cintiqs?

and what factors should I consider when purchasing a display tablet?

I finally have the money to upgrade from my shitty Intuos and I was thinking of getting a Cintiq 13HD.

I'm assuming some of you will have had experiences with it since it's an entry-level display tablet so I'm looking for opinions.

How bad is the parallax?

Do you feel like drawing on a screen tablet makes a difference in the quality of your art?

Do you feel like a 13" screen is big enough?

I'm a poorfag from a third-world country so please don't comment "lmao just save money for a better model" because that would take too long.

Thoughts on this tablet, /ic/? I'm thinking of getting it in the near future. So far most reviews seem positive though I'd like to hear something more personal from someone or a few people here who might've had the chance to use it extensively.

its technology has been around for over 5 years (maybe more i'm not sure) and other companies are turning their normal tablets into drawing tablets too
how come it still goes for over $1000? how come the market hasn't made it more affordable

Is it worth to buy 13" or save money for 22"?

13" is like A4 sheet so I guess it will be ok

or not?

I'm tossing up between the 13HD and the Companion Hybrid. Being portable would be pretty great, but it's hard as fuck to find and the only seller is an obscure ebay listing that's "like new", so the 13HD is sort of a safer option.

In Australia, so price gouging is pretty insane, 22HD isn't an option as it's over twice the price and a grand is pretty steep as is. Is the 13HD good enough or risk the Companion?

Recently picked up a Cintiq.

Before now, I've been sketching on paper and then scanning and inking afterwards. Would it be better to just try and make the leap of drawing straight to the tablet from the beginning? Seems like it would save a lot of time in the long run but would take a while to get used to.

Does anyone own a Wacom Cintiq? I currently use a Wacom Intuos Pro and I'm not sure if I should upgrade. Does a Cintiq improve your workflows compared to graphic tablets without displays?

Anyone here draw using tablets or touch displays?
I've had a Wacom Cintiq 13HD for a few years now and it works great. I recently upgraded my computer to Windows 10 and now it barely works at all. Even after updating the driver and reinstalling the software, my computer isn't able to pick up both my main screen and the Cintiq at the same time and I'm having a slew of resolution issues with my main screen being scrunched if it's plugged in.

Does anyone else have this problem or know a fix?

I have Intuos 3 and Photoshop on my PC.
If i buy a Cintiq 13hd, will i have to buy a Photoshop especially for it too or will it work with the one i already have on PC?
