Thanks for the feedback anon,I agree looking at him now the legs makes him look toy-ish.

The backpack is a chemical reactor tank that transfers his kit between chem waste/purified energy so his ult could be changed depending on which gear he's in:
Chem Release: Aoe damage and silence
or
Energy Release: Aoe ally cleanse and shield
But maybe if he "were" the tank it would make him seem more special.
