no, he had a neck/spine injury at some point and was bedbound and could barely move for months
he got steadily better and could move things again even though he'd have weird ghost pains and sensations from his nerves
I think the starting art thing might be because it must be so frustrating to be slow as shit at programming compared to how he used to be and making typos constantly, and art is a deliberate challenge which will improve his fine motor skills

Whatever his own problems and autism about art he started all this stuff back in 2016 with LAS. There's a bunch of the original lassies still around and DED, DAD etc all came from it, so I'm grateful.

I liked the arc where lava was being pretty distant and lassies found him cryptically talking about bad health on his blog and organised a thing to make get well soon cards for him
