Japs never talk out of line, never complain or talk back to their superiors no matter how shit they're treated. If western art spheres have shown one thing, it's that artists are incapable of handling any criticism.
What do you think will happen when the manager of the non-jap mangaka will inevitably start trying to get them to fix their work, story, setting, writing even going as far as changing characters or demand to remove anything about being and preaching about homosexualism and politics?
What do you think would happen if they start working 20 hours a day 7 days a week?

They'd be put in the other sub-maganizes no one reads and buy as much as WSJ or they'd referred to and be made to change publisher.
