I love this 'psuedo anime' style and the artist herself is a treasure.

Any idea how to go about crafting a style like it as an utter /beg/ without just copying her work?

So I'm /beg/ as fuck and currently grinding through Loomis and other tutorials for more 'semi/realistic/lifelike' styles but I would really like is to get to a point where I can draw in an animesque style like pic related.

Am I wasting time with Loomis' head/body anatomy? If so could any one suggest a better alternative for reaching my goal?
