Learn anatomy and learn how to construct a face (loomis, reilly, whatever works for you). Have a clear goal of what you want your art to look like. Look at some good artwork that you like and for gods sake, try to distance yourself from japanese shit, also ic is not a good place, since it is infested with weebfags.
