I'll just vent here. I'm a bit content with my progress but not so much. Yes and no. At the very least I KNOW that I couldn't draw any head nor face for shit when I started a year ago, I still have tons of pages filled with my attempts at drawing a head in my first days. And you can kinda see how I also had trouble drawing even mannequins. I'm satisfied with the human bodies I can do now so that's 1 thing I can safely say I got better at.


But I think I was never that bad to begin with after practicing for the first 2 weeks so it's a bit dissappointing. The things I'm doing now are decent but I know that I could have maybe drawn something close enough back then if I had a digital tablet and spent days on my drawings. Eeeee. Who knows. I look at some of my latest stuff and think "Yes, this could have been someone's commission and they'd be happy" which I couldn't say back then, so I'll take it as a victory. But I never drew mere stickmen so I can't show impressive progress, that drawing cowboy still has enough detail.
