The only meme here is believing that Loomis is a meme. You have to put in context what you're reading, if you are currently reading "Funsies with Pencils" then you must realize you're drawing "cartoonish" heads which serve as a base for moving on into drawing whatever you want to draw.
Finish the book do the exercises and move into the next book or maybe not I'm not anybody to tell you what to do but don't jump into conclusions because somebody said "Loomis is meme XD"

Loomis is good and all but the steps are rather vague. I find it only explains proportions as well as forming shapes and planes, how do i reach the 6th image from the 3rd?
