I don't trust anyone's self-assessment, except for people who say "number 5".

Because a lot of people might say they are 1s while having a very shitty image in their heads but being overconfident and tricking themselves into thinking it's realistic, while a lot of other people might see a 2 and think it's "not that good" and say they're a 4.

All in all, stupid chart. For me, I believe it's like 1 for some objects, not others, and it's pretty dark, not a lot of contrast/color in some cases, despite me being able to imagine full palettes that transfer well to the canvas, so I guess I just have a dimmed imagination that gets color-corrected through thinking about it. It's not vivid, but somehow pretty accurate.

Basically, my post is about how I found another thing to rely on (new job) and that gave me the freedom to actually NOT draw if I didn't want to.

And that paradoxically made me draw more. It took a decade or more of expectations and shame off my shoulders, there was no longer any pressure to draw.

So I hope you can be more forgiving to yourself and of course find other pillars to your life other than "I have to make it", because while some people HAVE made it like that, they were obsessed with drawing 24/7, and you clearly aren't, such approach would make you crash and burn.

And if you are an amerishart with crippling debt, that's a whole nother beast to tackle, consider working on a secondary skill that could be profitable, see how it compares to grinding art, learn from it. At the other end of it you'll come out with either new knowledge on how to learn your "true calling" of art OR you'll have a plan B.

Don't go to college again, though. Once is enough.

The sooner you understand porn "artists" are prostitutes, the sooner you can move on and refuse to discuss with these "people".

That's exactly how prostitutes (also called "porn actresses") behave publicly, talking about previous works and how they "empowered" them or some other bullshit to cope.

The same way prostitutes will sugarcoat their activities by calling it sex "work", a woman (because a prostitute can only be female in mind and spirit) will come up with all sorts of euphemisms for her e-prostitution drawings, and slap "art" at the end of it to cement the deception: NSFW art, lewd art, explicit art, 18+ art, spicy, kinky, pr0n, naughty, pin-up, sexy, erotic, what-have-you.

It probably took him 4 months and we should kill ourselves for not being able to improve this much.
