Then make it interesting.
Go see a movie you wouldn't normally see. Listen to music you've never heard of. Take an alternate route to work. Play the video game you were intending to play. Travel within your budget, even if that's just taking a bus across the city.
Try new things. Maybe save up and get a massage if you haven't done that already. Or go to a botanical garden. Wander a farmer's market. Go to a concert.
Or maybe learn something. Try picking up a new language with duolingo. Sign up for a class at any nearby college that offers continuing education. Maybe a home ec or self defense course at your community center. Even just watching new video essays or documentaries.
Reach out to friends. Chat with your family, or siblings. Go out and get dinner with some of them. Meet up with an estranged friend, and get blasted.

Life is too short to have ennui. Go for it.

Is that something that happens when you're 50?

I remember being 13 and pulling all-nighters with next to no adverse side effects. Now, I'm ten years older, and losing more than one hour of sleep renders me exhausted, and more than two, and I'll be dry-heaving through the whole morning. Every sleep hack I've looked into is either unverified, or sustains a risk of long-term health damage.

But man, waiting till 50? Machines could have probably killed humanity by then.
