/ic/ - Artwork/Critique

Spent my steam games money on fancy sketch paper and pigment liner thinking it would be easier to draw with those than with a mechanical pencil on print paper fsr, but actually found it to be harder.

This is what I've done so far plus a pinecone bc I couldn't take another week of doing nothing but exercises.

How do I get more comfortable with using the liner if I've only used pencil before? Can't fuck up indefinetly nor vary pressure to get lighter/darker shades. Although I more or less like my pinecone I think it looks dirty or messy, since I honestly didn't have much idea of what I was doing.
