People say "Just draw" under the assumption you have the brain cells to correct yourself and keep on trying to work through your art and slowly improve. The idea is to help you work through the fear of making a mistake and not improving fast enough.
If you genuinely think that you will get better by just randomly scribbling on a piece of paper you are out of your god damn mind and are probably too stupid for your own good.

He's a bit jarring. His excitement is slightly too high, his voice is strange, and he's too close to the camera.
His heart seems to be in the right place, and he asks all the right questions and does all the right things.
More than commendable.
So many documentaries of the Japanese industry tend to be absolute trash due to the interviewers being idiots. I'd rather a hyper, and slightly odd fella doing the right thing than a straight laced interviewer being an idiot.
