Line drawings like this aren't my thing but a bit part of it is a strong sense of flow, the gesture phase helps with this, you really need to design the way parts connect, in my opinion it's really important to have an intersting joint over an anatomically correct one. If the flow isn't coming together don't be afraid to just use the warp tool to mess with stuff
