How are "3d environment colors" different from real life colours? I would just study landscape paintings like those associated with the hudson river school. I've been getting good at colour picking for clouds and skies and it is super liberating to be able to pick exactly what you want from the photoshop colour popup

You should focus on clarity, there are a lot of ambiguous forms you seem to be afraid to render out properly.

People used to go outside and study landscapes, now they sit inside and study photographs. THe brilliance of classic landscapes comes entirely from colour and light.
