*ahem* AMD BTFO

The performance gains on the AMD GPU side using Vulkan will make up for it (when they fix the frametime issues which bug both AMD and Nvidia in Vulkan right now).

Ryzen 3000 is do or die. AMD has lagged behind in gaming for too long. Needed to fix latency issues yesterday.

For real though 2600/i5-8400 and 2700X/9700K IF using the same fast 3200-3400 CL14 RAM are neck to neck on average especially once you enable the 20+ software security mitigations on intel systems.

What I would REALLY be worried about is having SSD 4KB random read performance literally CUT IN HALF.

I mean the ryzen 5 1600/x are barely any better than what intel used to make 5-6 years ago i.e x5660/50/75/90 w3680/3690 they are just more eficient but that is to be expected .. .
