My mouse's is fucked, I can't select shit and middle click basically opens up 15 tabs of whatever link I happen to be hovering over at the time or just blank tabs; otherwise I'd use a picture.
AMD stock is 22.29 right now and is projected to open at 22.69 tomorrow morning at 8. The rate of increase implies that by end of Friday, we'll be pushing $24 territory. With all the mainstream review youtubers and reporting on twitter of Intel trying to make benchmarks illegal and the fact that such an action itself is illegal under US and EU law, is going to blow the FUCK UP on the internet over the next few days.
The secondary implications of that with chip IPC performance of what a fully mitigated + microcode updated chip means is going make matters for Intel even worse--cause if Intel tries to throw its weight around over benchmarks, someone will have the money to say to Intel "I'll see you in court over this." Which is EVEN WORSE PR.
This move is putting them onto a path of PR freefall that won't be containable.
AS A RESULT OF ALL OF THE ABOVE, IT WILL MAKE AMD WHICH IS NOT VULNERABLE FOR MOST OF THE MAJOR EXPLOITS THAT AFFECTS INTEL, AN EVEN SUPERIOR PLATFORM.
TO MAKE MATTERS EVEN WORSE, AS THIS HAPPENS, IT WILL DRIVE AMD'S STOCK PRICE EVEN HIGHER.
Shit guys, we might end up seeing AMD get to within 88-90% of Intel's stock price by Christmas. Which is exactly where Zen was in IPC performance when it first launched. Its literally a prophecy.
Zen2, with Zen2 Threadripper & Zen2 Eypc will push AMD past Intel. They'll have the process, node, uArch advantage, IPC, AND CORE COUNT with superior SMT perf ADVANTAGE.
Next year AMD will overtake Intel on every single front imaginable. This in turn will drive stock price into mid 40s, easily into the 50s within 6 months of Zen2 uArch launching.
Just think about it, 64c/128t single socket chips with Kabylake perf with 3-3.3GHz stock clocks.
