It's an old standard UNIX environment called CDE and it doesn't use GTK but Motif.
It's been open-sourced around 2012, so you can probably extract the icons and repackage for GTK with some effort (or search if someone didn't do it already).
https://sourceforge.net/projects/cdesktopenv/

I also posted the compilation guide on Debian in this thread if you want to try it (I recommend doing it in a VM).

I used Win2000 Server for years at work, and I loved it.

I used it in all my virtual machines for a long time. It was just pure luck that there was a Win2000 Server CD floating around the office, so that was the first thing I grabbed when I started getting into VMs for testing, and I ended up using it for the next 10 years.

I used it mostly for development and testing on our WIMP stack. (Windows, IIS, MySQL, PHP.) My Win2000 VM finally became obsolete once our department went to 100% LAMP and we shut down our final WIMP server.

I loved that clean, classic, professional look of Win2000. The XP look made me physically nauseated with all that fisher-price plastic babby toy design.

My problem with CDE is that you have to draw your own icons for the dock. It won't accept .pngs, it has some kind of custom format (or it uses bitmaps, forget which).

It's so weird that the system known for it's color and performance work looked like that for the Ootb UI... But maybe it was rushed as later versions had better interfaces (Or maybe it was a floppy thing, less data = faster load for workbench)

What are the icon and GTK themes? I've been looking for something that looks like this, but all I can find are Windows 98 GTK2 themes.
>CDE
>GTK
>"Icon themes"

Ignorance is a disease. Seek ye medical help.

>> No.59490965

He replied to a screenshot of CDE asking what the "icon and GTK themes" were. It doesn't have either. Someone even already replied to it saying the same fucking thing. Why is this so hard for you to comprehend?

>> No.59491115

>>59490965
Now it is my turn to ask:
Are you retarded?
My point was the ignorance.

This person you felt the need to call out to /g/ in exasperation about was clearly displaying theirs. Instead of curing it, you left them to fester in it.

Our little parley has done nothing to clear it up. If they don't know what CDE is by just looking at it in the image or they didn't bother to follow the conversation like people familiar with the site are able, what purpose did your post serve?

Was it cathartic to you? Seemed more like diarrhea.

Now I understand your meaning.

>If they don't know what CDE is by just looking at it in the image or they didn't bother to follow the conversation like people familiar with the site are able, what purpose did your post serve?
It didn't serve a purpose. I'm not here to educate people or even post constructively, I'm just here to laugh at retards who can't even follow a conversation or do a simple Google search. /g/ is full of retards, as always, there's no point in trying to "cure" their collective ignorance of something ultimately trivial.
