5.2 all core boost 6900k current WR
5.4/5.5 (the number doesnt add up since we know that cinebench scales linear) 2449/1537(the stock cinebench score of 1700x) *3.4(base clock) gives a 5.3 add to this the speed of 1800x and you get a 5.49

Ryzen is most likely my next cpu but the goys were right. Single threaded performance is still intel's territory because of their higher clockspeeds. And that is crucial.

I just hope the 4 and 6 core chips can OC to 4Ghz and stay stable on air.

Threre have always been the "x IS FINISHED AND BANKRUPT" threads, but they were never serious. There was never any actual damage control going on, It was literally just shitposting.

BUT NOW Intel is literally on suicide watch, doing everything they can for damage control. Fuck intel, AMD is going to make the CPU market great again.

That magasine is out now with an interesting article on Intel... it's called: Canard Pc Hardware #31

They basically talked to a bunch of employes in different country and they all told the same story: curent CEO killed développement teams and now they are behind on everything and have no product to compete in many markets.

That's what happens when you get a finance-type guy to run a tech company. He can't see the benefit in research.

Video games are like parasites, they attach themselves to systems people already bought or were planning to buy.

This is how it was throughout history. People bought PCs because they needed them and then saw there were games available for them so they tried them out. Minimal investment, lots of fun.

Mentally challenged failed abortions who would get a free one way ride to a gas chamber bought consoles because they're slobbering fucking retards. They perpetuate their painful existence seemingly for no real reason than to inflict their misery onto others.

You are fucking garbage. Video games are fucking garbage. They are treadmills for human hamsters but where hamsters are neat, fuzzy little creatures, you are fat horror movie props with delusions of grandeur. There's nothing redeeming in video games, they are a sad replacement for participating in reality and achieving something of actual value that you can be fucking proud of. You know this is true and the only thing more pathetic than the way you live your life is that you deny the true nature of it and just how fucking useless, uninteresting, morbidly stupid and witless you are. Of fucking course you play video games, nobody ever had any doubt.

CanardPC also tweeted that they've seen 6ghz on one core. For super high clocks the mobos are the limiting factor, just like with Broadwell-E.

Still 4ghz on 8c/16t is a shitload of performance, and the power draw is supposed to still be pretty low, well under 200w.

The 1700X maintains stock clocks at lower voltage thus can either be more energy efficient and/or overclock higher.

The 1800X is the same, but even better.

I don't get why so many people have this simple question when CPUs have be binned like that the same way for decades now and it's THE SAME FUCKING THING EVERY TIME.

I'd just like to interject for moment. What you're refering to as x86, is in fact, amd64, or as I've recently taken to calling it, x86 plus AMD. amd64 is not an architecture unto itself, but rather another example of a fully functioning x86 system made useful by the AMD 64-bit extensions, instructions and vital architecture comprising a fully new architecture as defined by the IEEE.
Many computer users run a modified version of the amd64 system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of amd64 which is widely used today is often called x64, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the amd64 system, developed by the AMD Company.
There really is an amd64, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Intel™ is the CPU: the piece in the system that allocates the machine's power to the apps that you run. The CPU is an essential part of an operating computer, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete 64-bit AMD architecture. Intel is normally used in combination with the amd64 instruction set: the whole system is basically AMD with x86 added for retrocomputing, or amd64/Intel. All the so-called Intel CPUs are really CPUs from AMD!

X is for XFR Extended frequency range. This auto overclocks based on thermal overheads. All the way to liquid nitrogen levels.
So get a good AIO if you're not planning to run at 100% all the time. Water will get the most out of XFR by keeping the overhead for much longer than air.

AMD shipped 1 MILLION R7s. It seems like they are sold out everywhere. They had to delay the cheaper SKUs because there simply isn't enough motherboards in stock, and their yields are so good they aren't cutting chips down if they can sell them as R7s, which evidently they are.

Yep. The cooler the heat sink is the better. Air is fine for traditional overclocks when running at a set 100% for a time.
But XFR is a different beast. It will take you past 100% for so long as you can keep it cool. Air can't do this for extended amounts of time.

Why is this board so retarded and hype up every shit?
Do you all suffer from ADHS?

One of the reasons why the postponed the 5 and 3 series is that the bios for this CPU is still in its beta, confirmed by a reviewer.
Every day a new Bios, makes testing so much more fun...

Also Ryzen coupled with an AM4 board is extremly picky.

The AM4 boards are much more expensive than the Intel variants.
And with Ryzen, you better buy a high priced one, and compatible Ram.

All in all, if you don't need to so many cores (no, for gaming 4 cores are good), you better skip Ryzen 7.

Ryzen 7 was aimed at fanboys and those who need it for their usage.
They are all beta tester, because it will take several weeks until the Bios is optimized.
