As someone who got a used one and made an honest attempt to learn to use, my hat's off to anyone who can actually pull it off.

My brain just wasn't spatially wired for most of the lateral finger movements, and the modalities of some of the thumbswitch shit (e.g., numpad mode) was insanity inducing. Also, having ctrl/alt triggered by the back of your thumb knuckle was pretty shit.

I say this as a person who proficiently uses a kinesis keyboard with a dvokak-esque keymap that I made and taught myself.

The disk inside was the same regardless if you paid more for it to be pre-cut. It'd cost more to manufacture the older single sided, so they didn't.

Basically like how intel gimps the cheaper cpus by clocking them down and shutting off cores even though they are the same chip.
